Our team

The firm was founded by John, whose experience in immigration began after a career in the British Army and an MBA, when he was appointed as MD of Ferguson Snell & Associates Ltd after their acquisition by Xchanging plc (where he was a Commercial Director). John later moved to Mazars LLP, a top-ten accounting firm for whom he built and led an international immigration capability in over 40 countries, through acquisition and determined organic growth. His experience and connections around the world have helped to develop Errington Immigration Services into a firm that manages clients’ international immigration for their family and business requirements.

Outside of work, much of John’s time is absorbed by his 4 children but luckily they all enjoy the same extensive range of sports and the rural life that keeps John sane when he’s not in the office

Giada is our super EA and our most recently qualified Consultant. She joined EIS in 2019 as Executive Assistant and she developed an interest for Immigration Law, driven by the excitement and satisfaction rush when clients manage to obtain their Visa and therefore positively change their life forever.

She is qualified as OISC Level 1 Immigration Consultant, closely working with John Errington and the broader team by taking care of clients for UK and worldwide Visa.

She’s a big fan of outdoor sports, cinemas and jazz music and she enjoys spending her time with friends and family.

Poonam Bansal-Shah has been working in immigration since 2005. Immigration has always been a political hot potato and Poonam has always advised clients on the most appropriate routes for them, looking at their short, medium and long term goals and ensuring that the clients are on track to meet them. Immigration is an emotional subject matter and Poonam brings both empathy and logical planning so that the transition to the UK is as smooth as possible for them and their family members. Poonam advises on business Immigration to large corporate businesses, small to medium businesses and also private clients who wish to move to the UK with their family members.

When away from the office, Poonam spends time with her two daughters, reading (when the kids allow it) and cooking meals for the homeless.
